Experiments with analog photography at Sonakshi & Zaheer's wedding
Sonakshi & Zaheer’s wedding has been an incredibly special one - not just for us, but for every life this wedding has touched, in person or otherwise. The messages of love, warmth, hope and positivity that have been coming to us are so beautiful and heartwarming.
So here is a little episode from their wedding which is special to us for multiple reasons, one of which is that we shot it on analog - a combination of Kentmere, Kodak Ultramax, Kodak Portra and TMAX film.
We love shooting film because of the organic nature of the process. Especially in today’s digital world, there is an immense trust involved in it at several levels - between the subject and the photographer, between the photographer and the camera as well as the photographer’s overall trust in the universe for anticipating and capturing the moment. Only when we feel like all of this can be met do we take our film cameras along for commissioned work. This was one such opportunity. And it was clearly the perfect one.
Here are a handful of analog photographs from Sonakshi & Zaheer’s wedding. There is a certain magic in them which cannot be defined - the hue of colours, the grains that show up, the blurriness of movement at times. Hope you enjoy watching them as much as enjoyed making them.
Thank you, Sonakshi & Zaheer.
