Sonakshi & Zaheer’s wedding has been an incredibly special one - not just for us, but for every life this wedding has touched, in person or otherwise. The messages of love, warmth, hope and positivity that have been coming to us are so beautiful and heartwarming.
So here is a little episode from their wedding which is special to us for multiple reasons, one of which is that we shot it on analog - a combination of Kentmere, Kodak Ultramax, Kodak Portra and TMAX film.
Weddings, just like life, are made up of tiny moments which are nested in larger moments as one flows through time. So this here is a snippet from Tanya & Shivam’s wedding, which begins just as they complete their varmala exchange and concludes just before their pheras ended.
As the title suggests, it was a lazy afternoon. Moroccan musicians dressed in red played some traditional music, as the green cacti jutted out against the blue sky, and a black and white cat slept on a red carpet just outside a hotel suite from which the sound of laughter and chatter emerged. It was a lazy afternoon where Avisha was getting her mehendi applied, as Youry looked on.

In July 2022, we were invited to be a part of ‘Cortona on the Move’ - a photo festival held in the town of Cortona, in the Provence of Arezzo, Italy. The entire story began with a message from Paolo Woods, the artistic director of the festival; and ended with us getting emotional as we left Cortona with new friends and a whole lot of lessons. Thank you to everyone we met along the way. It has been such an honour!
What we have seen, and continue to see in weddings inspired this attempt
Our collaborative creative process is such that there is no specific starting point, especially because we don't know what form things will take. Last evening, after finally being home together after months on the road with time and freedom for our creative energies to play, it has taken a form of visual poetry inspired by photographs of moments we have shot across weddings
As Ekta came to me with a curated bunch of visuals, I started writing. And things started coming together such that every line of the poem corresponded to the visual accompanying it, and it built over time. So that is how you read it. One line, with a visual, and then the next line with the next visual.

While Pooja & Manjot knew, and knew of each other for a while; it took some time for their story to brew. What they share in common is a love for good food, good music & dance. At the same time, they are quite different from each other in some ways - if you know them, you know what we are talking about. One thing though, is for certain - that together, they are electric.
The first Indian wedding at The Martinez in Cannes, France; which included a red carpet sangeet at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres of Cannes & a beautiful wedding ceremony at a private chateau overlooking the sea
Being documentary photographers, we have the absolute honour and privilege of seeing the definition of a mother, and the many forms of motherhood across historical, landmark moments in the lives of individuals & families, several times a year. Here is an ode to the superhumans we know - our mothers
Saba & Ishaan got married at the ITC Grand Bharat in a celebration that was so unconventional, it is definitely among the most unique experiences we have had documenting a wedding.
Mehandi & Shivam are opposites in so many ways, and yet so similar in some.
Mehandi can light up any room she is in, spreading so much love around, it is unbelievable. On the other hand, you will find Shivam in the same room, in the middle of his closest friends, trying to stay out of the spotlight.
And then Mehandi will find him and pull him onto the dance floor, and you will see what love is.
Smiti & Nilesh got married in the magical city of Jaipur, Rajasthan at the (formerly) JW Marriott Resort & Spa. Our relationship with these two began way back, with the first phone call they made to us, telling us they are getting engaged and would like us to document it. From there, to their wedding, and even after, it has been an incredible journey.
Portraits at the sand dunes, an epic pool party welcome with a champagne gun, a day mehendi with fun competitions, an amphitheatre sangeet, crazy haldi ceremonies, a beautiful wedding and an emotional reception, a Ferrari, a Rolls Royce and a lot of other things! This is Mannat & Dikshant’s wedding at the Palm Jumeirah, Zabeel Saray, UAE
Shrutika & Lakshya got married in December, at the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay. Their wedding was a celebration that lasted for three days. This is a handpicked collection of the most memorable moments from their story
#IsntitJASROMAntic - A beautiful Sikh wedding held at The Al Bustan palace overlooking the shores of Muscat, Oman. A celebration with an intimate haldi, an epic tribal party, a high energy sangeet & a soulful wedding. Thank you, Roma & Jas. We wish you all the happiness in the world!
#ComeWhatMay. Never has a hashtag been this relevant and meaningful. Over the last year, Aashna & Aniruddh faced whatever challenges life threw at them with a smile on their face and unconditional love in not just their hearts, but also the hearts of their friends and family. And so, when they got married in May at The JW Marriott in the mountains of Mussoorie, ‘Come What May’ had become more than just a hashtag - it was a collective cheer for having conquered hurdles together, and a rallying cry to come together and face any more challenges that life would bring. To stand united in the love of family & friends. And we were fortunate to be in the midst of all this, witnessing and experiencing it, and growing as human beings.
Tammy & Kartik’s wedding was a complete curveball for us in so many ways. Firstly, we had never experienced a bride & groom planning their wedding location based on the carbon footprint of the flight paths they and their guests would take while coming in from all around the world. Secondly, it was a wedding with just the two of us - Ekta on photo (mostly), and me on video (mostly). Thirdly, Tammy & Kartik got married thrice in three days! The first day, they had a surprise Parsi ceremony, which Ekta and I attended as guests. The second day, it was the Sofreh Aghd and then the Hindu wedding ceremony took place on the third day.
All of this happened at The Taj Vivanta, located on the Rebak Islands in Malaysia. There was so much happening in this wedding, which was so offbeat and interesting, that it deserves to be told as a story, mixing text & photographs. And of course, the wedding film.
Two beautiful souls who started their lives on the same day in the same hospital. We were thrilled to be a part of this unique destination wedding photography project.
Life is like a journey where we make heartfelt connections with interesting travellers. This destination wedding was about how Niharika & Thrishy found a deeper connection; love.
